VICE PRESIDENT

The VP will have the opportunity to lead various lifestyle accounts. This role requires; expert communications strategy, the ability to develop and manage integrated programs, manage product launches, provide issues management counsel, and interact with multiple client contacts within the company.

It also requires strong business development, project and team management skills, including the ability to inform, delegate, empower, motivate and inspire employees to achieve strong results.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee various accounts lifestyle accounts/personalities
- Client, team and program management for both social and traditional communications
- Issues management counsel
- Collaboration with agency partners
- Development and writing of program plans, results reports and other documents for senior executive audiences
- New business development

Qualifications:
- 8-10 years in a senior communications role (agency position)
- Strong print and broadcast contacts, and placement history
- Smart, dedicated, creative team leader, with excellent
communications and problem-solving skills
- Effective editor and writer that can provide clear direction
- Strong ability to organize and mentor teams and manage programs with a keen attention to detail and quality
- Great verbal communications skills to support clients, sell in the value of programs, and effectively present a unique point of view
- Strong work flow experience and project manager

 

PUBLICIST

Responsibilities:
- Overseeing staff
- Daily pitching to local and national print, broadcast and online media
- Working with the team to create and implement PR programs
- Conceptualizing and writing press materials and pitch letters

Qualifications:
- 4-5 years of related client experience
- Solid print, online and broadcast contacts and experience
- Excellent writing and phone skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Must be smart, fearless, energetic and most importantly…no attitude.

 

ASSISTANT PUBLICIST

The Assistant will have the opportunity to work on a team that represents prestigious lifestyle brands and personalities in home, food and action sports.  The PR assistant will work with the public relations team to ensure smooth running of the division in daily tasks and as it relates to the entire agency. 

Responsibilities:
- The candidate should have strong writing, research and organization skills, be willing to adjust to a variety of client temperaments and personalities and be willing to go above and beyond the call of duty in order to complete a project accurately and on time
- Draft basic press releases, pitch letters, and briefing documents
- Develop and maintain media contact lists and databases
- Prepare monthly media reports for distribution to clients
- General administrative duties (faxing, filing, copying, phone calls)

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications or journalism
- Graduated with a major in communications, concentration in PR is a plus
- PR internships during college
- 0-1 year PR experience
- Knowledge of Cision
- Passion for food, home and emerging brands
- Smart, dedicated, creative team member, with excellent communications and problem-solving skills
- Effective editing and writing skills
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment

 

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Develop and implement effective social media programs on behalf of a range of food, home, fashion, beauty and personality clients.  This position requires deep knowledge of digital platforms and solutions, as well as the ability to develop, draft and present strategic programs.  

 Responsibilities:
- Understand client business (and relevant industries); provide appropriate and timely strategic client counsel that capitalizes on social and digital solutions
- Develop and implement innovative social media strategies and programs that produce superior results for clients
- Manage social media project execution to ensure that deadlines and quality standards are met
- Educate clients about strategic benefits of social media opportunities
- Guide and train account staff on social media services, solutions and strategies
- Develop plans for generating and pursuing new business

Qualifications:
- Years social media public relations experience
Strong verbal, written and technical communication skills
- Understanding of social program execution and web development process
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in major social media and online tools
- Strong leadership/team building abilities
- Experience writing/editing for the web
